Before & After: Bathroom

Here's my 36 1/2" wide bathroom. There's actually nothing wrong with it other than there's no storage. I'm all for a sparse, clean bathroom but there is no other storage outside the bathroom like a linen closet, it just didn't make sense. The over the toilet space saver didn't really do much either. I'm a girl - I have tooooonnss of hair and skin products! Plus, there's nowhere to put towels! The dark wall color didn't help with lighting at all and made it dark and depressing. There aren't many options in a rental apartment, but my gracious landlords gave permission to paint and install shelving above the toilet. Whew.

Before:
After!

The shelves are level, honest! The ceiling is a little wonky which throws things off but I did the best I could. I even anchored the darn things.

Hard to tell in the pic, but it's definitely a pale blue. No idea what the color is since it was custom mixed at Home Depot but I still have the lid somewhere. Most of the items came from Ross. Will have to play around more with the baskets to get a balanced look.

Top left:

Marshall's apothecary jar (already had shells and little woodsey balls)
Marshall's metal tin (currently holding charger for electric toothbrush)
Goodwill watercolor picture of house on a lake ($5! had it for a while)
Marshall's mercury glass square lidded jar thingy holder
Ross jute/hemp basket

Ross jute/hemp basket with hairdryer, curling iron, etc.
Ross glass hermetic bottle (filled with mouthwash)
Ross jute/hemp basket holding facial products

Ross jute/hemp basket holding hair styling products
Goodwill vintage pastoral frame picture
Ross silver compote holding bars of soap

Ross five white towels
Gabriel's bath "This And That" jars
Marshall's hermetic bottles

This makeover was done a while ago and I've since nixed the little jars and hermetic bottles (except one) that just weren't functional. Gotta maximize space! I'll post a more current picture soon.
